After his splint was removed on February 26, Dodge did really well with his rehab work (it involved treats and lots of praise) as he relearned to walk on his leg without the casting.
He was released to our Cats in Need team member on March 4, and has adapted quite well to “life on the inside”!
He’s already running (in short sprints) and he really enjoys lap time. Plus he’s having a lot of fun with space to play and enjoying the toys.
His foster mother has two young kittens of her own, and he’s found he has a “mini me” who likes to follow him around and play with him!
We’re very grateful to The Cat Care Clinic in Orange who took care of him from start to finish. We know they were disappointed to see this sweet love boy leave, but it was time for him to finish his outpatient work and get ready for a forever home of his own!

We’re so thankful for all the support that’s come for Dodge, both in words of encouragement on our Facebook page and through monetary donations that have been made in his name – and that have gone directly to his surgery fund.
To date, we’ve raised just under $1600 of our $2000 goal. We are still accepting tax-deductible donations in the following ways:
Cats in Need

We also accept donations in person on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am-3pm during our adoption shows.
