If you’d like to get involved, there’s several ways to help:
Donate some time: volunteers are needed to help staff the adoption fair on the weekends, as well as come in mid week to play with and clean up after the kitties. We also sometimes need drivers to help transport kitties, and short term and long term foster homes. Download our Volunteer Form and give your local chapter a call!
Cats in Need of Human Care is a 100% voluntary unpaid staff organization. Donating your time can be very rewarding when you see all the happy homes and lives we save.
Teen volunteers needing community service time are welcome too. Download a teen volunteer contract for details and expectations and teen volunteer info form to turn in with your contract. Contact Cats in Need by email to get started. (cin-sa@hotmail.com)
Become a foster parent: Our kitties do best when they’re staying with people, and living in a home, rather than at “the suites” down in a PetSmart cage all week. If you would like to learn more about fostering kitties, please contact your local Cats in Need location for details. This is an especially big need during “kitten season.”
Donate supplies: Cat food (dry and wet) and liter is always welcomed. So are toys, cat beds, pet carriers and wire crates, combs and brushes. Even packs of printer paper help offset the costs!
Donate money: As a 501(c) (3) non-profit charity, your money is not only tax deductible, its going to help the kitties with things like vet bills (shots and spay/neuter) as well as the costs of general food and liter care.
When you donate to an individual chapter, you’re helping that local group directly with your funding. Check the locations pages for your local Cats in Need chapter’s donation options.
